About Udayan Shah

Udayan Shah, MD, a Newtown Square, Pennsylvania resident, is the chief of pediatric otolaryngology and credentialing at the Nemours Delaware Valley, positions he began in 2015 and 2019, respectively. In addition to these roles, Dr. Udayan Shah is a professor of pediatrics and otolaryngology at Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College. Dr. Shah began teaching at Thomas Jefferson University in 2007. During his tenure there, he demonstrated academic excellence and mentored students. Many of his students have moved on to become national clinical and thought leaders in the area. In this role, he has received teaching honors. As a professor, Dr. Shah has also contributed considerably to scholarship. His research has been featured in 130 publications. He has also given 140 presentations worldwide. His leadership roles include serving as president, program chair, and treasurer for the Society of Ear, Nose, and Throat Advances in Children. Dr. Shah was also the past chair of the Medical Devices & Drugs Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology (AAO)-Head and Neck Surgery (HNS) and a past legislative representative to the AAO/HNS board of governors for the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology.
